    How do you:

~ Make graphics ie: scallops, flames, color changes and such, and make them sit right on the body instead of a flat surfaced picts. Like they are supposed to be there using shadows and such on cars.

~ Make, example: fender skirts for a car (i guess same as above), or just to make a shape and fill it/shade it and to apply to your pict?

~how do you make a pict small enough to be your avitar. I want a clear picture but when you get the picture to 7 kb, 80x80 pixels, it looks like a blob...

    Thanks.

play with the opacity feature of a tool, or layer it helps to give the impression it's actually there, rather than looking flat.

To actually draw the scallops or something?

a "simple" way to do it is, and draw the scalops or flames or something with one of the outline tools, then copy it and paste it exactly back where it was at,then go up to IMage, Adjustments, Hue/Saturation, you can change the color of that selected area. now that it's on it's own layer, you can then apply things like the outline shawdow easier etc, or delete it by just removing the layer.

to make something like fender skirts, would use the clone stamp tool, and the airbrush, using the clone stamp make the general item, copying like colored area's etc, then add detail with the airbrush.
