  6. Pic.'s just don't do this car justice Beetle. It's too damn cool & not all over kustomized. Hell, it has door handles!

    I'm just getting to know Beet & Co., but man, the guy can do anything! Chops his own, cuts his own glass, drops em' propper, works stainless, sets up engine swaps. You name it, he does it. Just a really hands on guy. His kid is OK too [​IMG]

    Beet, I'd never paint it.Is the side trim factory? 49 or 50?That car looks right. Alley cat witch edge of Houston do you live on ?I like your merc also. Thats the car I want when its all said and done.TP

    Beet, school me, whats Lido trim?Is there a differance in a mercury coupe and sedan? Are they the same car?I sent you an email earlier. TP

    A Merc coupe is 2 doors, a Merc sedan is 4 doors.

    That Lido side trim is the best looking trim one could have on a merc, better than the 53 Buick and even harder to find.

    Was Lido a trim package?Like Monterrey? Or was it Lincoln?

    I think the Lido was the big Lincoln. Not the one that looks like a Merc with a long front end.

    The Lido was the top of the line Lincoln coupe (baby Lincoln/Merc style). The top of the line big (bathtub) Linc was the Cosmopolitan.

    Lido was the top of the line "Baby Lincoln". AS was a Merc Monteray(sp) Leather upols, vinyl top,special side trim.......OLDBEET
