    56 hardtops, crown or not, are one of the best looking cars Ford ever made.

    very odd.........the last two pics: Two cars with a very similar approach, but If they were mine, I'd keep the Merc as is, except maybe chrome the front pieces, but on the Crown Vic, I'd loose the bubble skirts, scallops, laker pipes, maybe even the Cont. kit. Just too much going on for that car.

    The merc definitely needs the chrome back on. I also agree on the Crown Vic. In my opinion they just don't look well customized. Too much going on with the roof trim. Looks great stock though.

    Anybody know where the Merc was located when photographed? It looks su****iously like my car. Mine has the same shade of blue including the grille and bumpers but no flames. I bought it out of southern Illinois several years ago.
    BTW, rechroming the stuff that should be chrome is on the agenda.
