Thanks for the compliment. Those are earlier pics, it now has baby moons and trim rings and ww radials instead of the Coker bias ply tires. Otherwise it looks the same as when I bought it.
Agree completely. I have a hard enough time with what little aluminum I have on my engine. Sweet car though.
I don't think there ever were better looking sedans, Custom(avatar) or Fairlane(above) versions, that Ford had in 57/58. The Fairlane versions looked like hardtops without the****ociated wind/noise/rattles problems. Yeah, I may be a little biased. Love the color on that one.
I really like this,it reminds me of a yellow '55 that was a serious street racer here in the late 60's. HRP
I'd hate to even think about that needing a paste wax job, lol Anyone care to take a stab at identifying the add-ons?
I think that is a hysterical example of 50's wretched excess. He must have knocked off at least a dozen Pep Boys stores to score all that bling!
I have to wonder where all that bling came from? Blow the image up and look how well it all fits, even down to the body contours and seams. Even if it doesn't suit our tastes, the workmanship is incredible.
that was owned by one of the pirrota bros here in oz...he bought it new and hand made each and every piece in brass before having it chromed..i believe the fit was perfect first time everytime....it was said at the time that he was only allowed to drive on sundays...not sure how true it was. sometime after building it the owner died and the car went to america for a while but is now back in australia again and still looks as it did back when new
