I was just thinking about this same subject. This one was built by my stepdad a long time ago.

Here is one of my favorite '41 - '48 kustoms. I believe all of them
should have the Caddy grill. David Guymon did the kustom work &
Jim Baker is the proud owner.

I can tell you it looks as good in person as it does on here.

Here are couple of concept skeches of my own ´47 Club coupe. I am planning to remove the top. It allready have roll down ht sidewindows. Would be great looking as a coupe too, but chop is not as nice as in these sketches.

I agree! Anyone have bigger and/or other pics of this?

I have never considered these years of Ford, but after this thread and that 3 window concept in Rod N Custom (pg 12-13 March 2006)...well I see how cool they are.

Most of the ones I have seen in person are all 80's style with monochromatic salmon/aqua color schemes. There are some very nice rides here, thanks!

the bottom was built by Matt Harris..a Wyotech Grad and former instructor there...awesome car, and as with all of Matts work..very well built...hes worked all over the country, Was with Foose for some time as well, you've probably have seen his tech articles in classic trucks(if I remember right) and custom rodder...good guy, good friend as well

HERES THE LINK TO MATTS WEBSITE...

    Hi Janne !
I just love your renderings to bits . Before the -49-51 Merc custom craze the -41-48 Fords ruled the custom planet and your renderings are giving me hope there is still time to build the ultimate -41-48 Ford golden era (1940-1953) custom . I know you dont like the Appletons but it is possible you can try one on for size .

I see on the two convertibles that the top of the door are slightly higher than the bottom edge of the windshield , is that a planned raise of the door edge cause usually it is a problem on converts leaving a larger sidewindow cause the upper edge of the convertible sidewindow sticks up higher than the windshield .

-41-48 Fords are othewise very nice having a fairly even level from the bottom windshield edge out on the door , very similar with -49-51 Merc in that aspect . The problem bodys in that aspect is -39-40 Merc and -49-51 Fords always leaving uneven hight of the sidewindows compeared to the windshields .

    Hi Wolf!
Top of the door is too high in my sketches, you will always find all details:). Here is picture how it is in real life. Ht system is taken from some mid fifties Mopar.:

The mail slot back window gets a lot of attention - but it is difficult to see out of.
