I'm thinking of changing my Willys pickup and modeling it after the Agitator Willys pickup, first run by Hicks, Galli and Modlin in California, then sold to Paul Day in 68. I've seen all the mainstream pics, like on G***ermadness.com, Don Montgomery's book, etc..., but I was hoping someone may have some additional pics. I'm looking for that one special shot that says "Go for it. Build it just like this".

    Thanks

You might be thinking of this pic. I think it's an optical illusion. I think there's an actual tow truck in the back ground, that just happened to line up with the bed on the Willys. As far as I know, Paul Day never ran a tow truck boom on the back.

    Thanks

Correct, he did not run a tow truck boom on the back. My dad was friend's with Paul Day. After Day destroyed that pick-up in a crash, the rear-end sat on our back patio for years. My dad was going to use it in something else but never did. Sorry can't help with photos though. FYI Fossil here on the HAMB owns Day's 33 Willys coupe that was ran after the truck was destroyed.

Boy now your bringing back some memories. Bout 1968-69 I had my parents drop me off at the drags for a points meet at tri-city dragway in Saginaw mich. I was 14. My best picture I took was of that truck. I had it enlarged to a 5x7 and enter it in the county fair in the youth bld and got a blue ribbon. I had the picture for 20yrs after that and then got a divorce and that picture was one of the casualitys.
Still love the look of that truck, for some reason I thought the box was shorter

Cool story. I wish you would have been able to keep that pic.
