    Sorry to ask.

Does anyone have the pictures (and accurate story) of the cartoonish Model A coupe that was built by the kid in California? The one that has about 4" of windshield left and was channelled and sectioned so heavily that the rear tires are taller than the car? Yeah, that one. :)

I think it's flat black now with red scallops, if that helps...

You mean this one? Yes it was built By my Buddy Ian out of San Clemente California. For his age 19, he is one of the great up and coming builders I would say. WHat about the story do you want to know.. the kid built this car when he was 18 not the best not the worst job better than alot of people on here myself included could build at 18. Had 3k in the car and sold it for more than 3 times that.. any other details please ask..

Yes sir, I believe that is it. Do you have any more pictures of it, or details of the car?

Actually, you kinda changed up your post and answered most of my questions.

There's a guy here in Texas that has it now.. and has made some claims about building it, that's all.

Yep, looks a little different now. It has red scallops and a "Gas Monkey Garage" logo...

Just a guess, but I bet if you ran Gas Monkey Garage through the search, you would save a lot of bandwidth and get all of the pictures you want. It's been discussed once or twice on the board.

    Following Mutt's advice, I did a search. ;)

Didn't figure it would come up under the Gas Monkey moniker, I thought the sell was too recent.

  16. Yea, I have a problem with people who take credit for other peoples work. Case in point, I was at Pate with a friend of mine and ran into this purple 69 Camaro R/S SS that was for sale for 45000.00, no that is not a misprint. The guys that were selling it also sell repop made in China Camaro stuff. So I ask this guy;" Who built the Camaro "? "I did" he says. I say "cool, Did you put that really really big 502 in there too"? as he pulls his pants up he boast "yea I have a shop we build nothing but Camaros and I can build you one like this too". I then tell this guy, " hey, you see the guy standing over there ?" pointing at my friend . He put that 502 in there and pretty much had to re- restore this piece of **** this past 2 years he had it in his shop because the guy that owned it couldnt go around the block without a problem that would leave him walking to a pay phone. The guy didnt say much after that, but the funny thing is ... He and his ***istant were both wearing Gas Monkey sweatshirts.

I saw that car at pate as well. I never spoke to the guy though. I know the gasmonkey guys are selling alot of model A cars here in Texas, I personally know squat about them. They just showed up one day. No history as I can tell. It may be the same car, but I am not convinced. A few things seemed different. I don't remember the car at pate having those big comercial wheels on the back. It will be interesting to see how this plays out, so if I do cross pathes with them I will know who I am dealing with..

Everything that could possibly be said about this car already has been, in lots of different threads on the HAMB.
Do a seach for them, or P/M V8 ( the guy that originally built the car ).

Gotgas, you said you have the info you needed, right?
In that case I'll lock this thing now, before it turns itself into a multi page Drama Thread like most of the others about this Car have done...
