    Anybody know any history of this drag strip? Picked up this cool shifter with this opening day participant plaque on it.[​IMG]

Connecticut International Raceway was the old Connecticut Drag-way. after owner, Frank Maratta p***ed away, his sons leased the drag strip to a group of 18 individuals to operate. after several years, Fitzie, the man that signed the lease p***ed away. Frank Maratta's sons felt that there contract was with Fitzie and no one else, so they sold the drag strip to Consumer Reports, who now use the shortened strip to road test new cars.
