Like the title says ,I've been talking to this guy for a month about his vintage welder on offer up, finally had a chance to pick it up and turns out that it's a 1940 model with original book...it must weight 200 pounds...might try to get rid of the brown spray paint and bring the og paint underneath then side table in the living room.
So you do your welding in your living room? Not that there's anything wrong with that , I do also , you just don't hear about it much anymore. Of course only us single guys , assuming you are also ...if your planning on putting a welder in your living room....or you become single after the first ark flash burn you give her , can get away with that. I still use a old Lincoln Tombstone myself , not that old of one , it works great. Enjoy yours...wherever it or you end up with it.
My TV stand needs lonely and it needs a vintage welder as a side table. I'm not single..I got the greatest girl ever
Very cool...270 or 302? I just got rid of a old Howard 5 Stromberg 97 aluminum intake for a Jimmy, well just being a couple years ago, ya it sure helps in making the hobby more enjoyable when you got a gal thats there enjoying it with you. I really don't weld in my living room...I use the kitchen.
This thing fucking works!! I bought a plug last week and I took about 10 mins to wire it,then plugged it in and it works?? It's so quiet too,my 60s Linde is super loud compared to it...I only striked an arc but tomorrow I'll run a couple of beads.. I'm stoked to do a project with it soon.
With no front side mounts I’m guessing a 228-248. You’ve got to remember that ALL YBlocks are 312’s, GMC’s are 302’s, early hemis are 392’s, W Chevrolet’s are 409’s, and flatheads are 48 Mercs.
Yes that true; the poster didn’t say anything and rudestude thru in the 270-302 with a question mark. Since most of the 270’s and all of the 302’s I’ve seen or had both civilian and military had side mount holes near the front of the block I’m guessing one of the smaller cubic inch size.
