A bunch of my buddys thought it was a Merc :D Right now I'm taking everything out of the car, I have been thinking about putting airbags on it so I can get over a speed bump but not sure. Doing the body work soon and I'm going to put it in satin white and get it ready to start driving. Putting the small block (340) in it. I'm going to mod the original three on the tree shifter to work with the newer ****** and just go from there.I am still pissed though about all of the chrome being painted, I figured that the paint would've protected the chrome but the scuffed it up before they painted it and filled the bumper gaurd holes in with bondo  ****s your lights got jacked

I know man, over here is pretty much the same thing. You look under auto parts for anything and there is one or two things on a page that corispond to what you're looking for and the rest is tuner ****.

Here is an update on the car. Pulled the engine and transmission and started cleaning the frame and suspension. Hope to have it driving before July. The suspension and bushing had been done not to long before it was parked, everything is still in good condition

I have located almost everything to bag the car, just need the mounts. The small block is going to fit in the engine conpartment perfectly, just have to cut a little bit of the ****** tunnle out. I'm not sure what I'm going to use for motor mounts yet. Will post more pics when I can.

I'm not sure what I will use for motor mounts but I know that I will be changing the oil pan to a rear sump and from my measurements it will clear with no problem.

  8. I have a '48 that someone stuck probably a Chevy motor in, with the GM mounts on the block that use a horizontal through bolt. So they took some bar stock like 1"x1/4" and a piece of tube the bolt would fit through and made mounts that way. Welded them up and to the frame in sort of an upside down 7 shape with the tube in the corner of it. Looks like it was driven some that way at one point in the 1990s -
