bought a 239 off a local rod shop this weekend for 500 bucks he said it was rebuilt, i got a great deal. from the looks of the outside you would think he was pulling my leg but he is a good guy and honest as the day is long. I pulled the heads today to replace the gaskets for peice of mind and take peek inside. As I got the first head off I cracked a grin the more I looked the happer I got, by the time I was finished I had a smile from ear to ear.
Im gonna put some new head gaskets new water pumps, rebuild the carb, paint it and roll with it. Im gonna go with ford bronze and was thinking black heads and intake with black pullys, black water pumps, and black brackets. What do you guys think? I dont give a damn about being period correct.
