I like red tudors. Maybe we can meet up at BTTF's.

Here's a shot to make you lust for the Y block. :) Remember, there is nothing sweeter than the sound of a Y block through a pair of Porters. :)

  5. Wash it, fix what it needs and drive it for a year while you decide. Maybe a little speed equipment (very little) on the B. Maybe a mild flathead that you could drive without problems. Of the engines you listed, I would go with the SBC as everything else is wide and heavy.

Charlie, The plan is not to be in a hurry. I'll just fix a couple of things and drive it this summer. I don't want to hurry on this one.

You got that right Gonzo ( and I'm a pretty died in the wool Chevy guy)
My first hot rod experience (at 16) was being thrown the keys to an older friends 55 t-bird, it had a warmed over 312/T10 4 speed. That thing could fly, and sounded good doing it.
It had those really rappy glass packs and I think he got a phone call before I could return with it.
    I vote Y block too.

Awesome find. I like the no-chop hot rod thought.

If you are interested in a Caddy, My dad's got a complete running '57 365 engine and trans. PM me if interested. I can get specifics for you. Rich
