that picture does not do those tanks any justice. and you also have to think outside the box. i'm probubly stretching the tail or cutting it right off. i'm building mine to appear "barn fresh". I'm trying to do it in a late 40's early 50's style. in those day's those guy's would run anything. i also plan on building it with rear suspention. I'm planing on zing the frame in the back (i do not have exact mesurments yet) and building the front out of tube. i dont have an engine yet but i don't plan on finishing this thing tomorrow. it's a project.

right now i build custom lowrider bicycle's. i have a schwinn thats stretched 20 inches with 25 inch bars. it has a generator for headlights and tail lighs. rear view miror. bana seat. the seat sits about an inch over the back tire, and the tubes that came from the top of the back triangle to the downtube , when i stretched it i removed the fronts if the curved bar and welding them together making an arow and painted the hole thing reen with white pin stripes. It's name is the green hornet. anyway i have about 10 othe rbikes in other manors choppers, trike's, and little kids tricycle's.

sadly:( i do not have a digital cam

Bill Burke had raced a '32 Ford roadster on the dry lakes of Southern California in the 1930s and early '40s and still had racing on his mind when he headed to the Pacific to serve as a PT boat pilot during W.W.II. While in Guadalcanal, he noticed some teardrop-shaped P-51 Mustang fighter plane belly fuel tanks being unloaded from a freighter. Instantly impressed by their aerodynamic design, he got close enough to measure one of them. Knowing the dimensions of a Ford rear end and an engine block off the top of his head, he was sure it was feasible to use one of these tanks to make a dry lake racer.

I figured it out. No one I know has ever met you before. Therefore your fucking bicycles don't fucking matter. Spelling counts.

mopar742000000000000,

Just need to say something here because work is a little slow and I have nothing better to do... I think it's kind of rediculous to begin with that you even bumped up Larry's post to talk about yourself, but different strokes for different folks I guess. I, for one, would personally like to know more about belly tankers (including yours), but you really need to drop everything you're doing and head right back to the main page and start a new thread so we can tell ass from elbow on what's going on with your questions. I think it's safe to say you're going to be on your own if you piss everyone off here. You've already put your self on quite shit list by continuing.... PLEASE start a new thread!

And dammit Larry! I want to see an update on YOUR belly tanker! That's the REAL reason I even bothered to reply here... friggin' drama! I want to see whatever happened with Creeper Larry's tank...

Looks that way.
I started another belly tanker thread that seems to be decent, at least it has some great pics of street tankers...
Maybe Ryan can put up a "Flamefest Section" to move posts like the one he deleted?
It was a hoot, but certainly went OT fast, those Liberace Photoshops were funny as hell.

regards,

Well when you get to the 5th grade I'm sure you spelling etc. will improve. But I won't take any bets on when that might be.
