Today was the day! KustomBuilder emailed me last week informing me that my hood was ready to be picked up. I was as excited as a schoolgirl getting her first kiss. I had today off work and luckly it was a nice day for a cruz. I headed 1 1/2 hours due west of me to the home of Killer Kustoms. Waiting for our arrival was Big Olds hood, on a stand in the yard. WOW, did it look GREAT! Not only was the hood peeked to perfection but he made this killer brace underneath to support the center section up by the cowl. Big Olds has a big**** hood and really needed this support. Got the hood attached with the help of not only CherryBlossom but their little next door neighbor buddy. Then we proceeded to go for an ice cream celebration then a garage crawl thru the countryside. GREAT day with GREAT friends. Many, many thanks to Mike, KustomBuilder for the endless hours I know it took and to Kris, CherryBlossom for being the understanding wife that she is. Hours spent on my hood meant less hours they spent together! Without further suspense, here are a few photos
Looks Good..., so what color are you going to paint it...? Or are you going for the Lukester "Nekid" look...? Then you can be******** and Nekid Cruisin buddy...!!! Mark

Looks great, Denise. KustomBuilder does indeed, ROCK !! Will we be seeing Big Olds and her new lid at the Syracuse Nats this summer?? I seem to recall some talk of a dinner at the Dinosaur BBQ.......
[ QUOTE ] Very nice work he seems to be at the peek of his game. [/ QUOTE ] haha-Greezy! It is nice of Denise to give us a peek at the peak of her hood.
When the car's done and totally different, you'll have to do the 1 lap of America thing again so we can all see it in person! Lou King Goude!
Wow sure turned out nice! Kustombuilder has done it again. I see he even is lurking around in your photo as well. No wonder Mike is posting again the BIG**** HOOD is done!
That looks great. I like the look alot. And I think it came out just right at the front of the hood. Once it is grey it will really start coming togeather. Definatly a whole new look for the BIG fella this year
nice job,now all you need is a fade paint job to accentuate big olds peaks and curves man mike,i hope you got a big old pile of cookies fer dat one
[ QUOTE ] Me and CherryBlossom [/ QUOTE ] What I wanna know is who is the third person in that photo? The one peeking out from behind the driver's door. Just who is that "mystery" person BTW the hood is killer. great job Mike
Came a long way in a short time, nothing better than cool hood driving down those long highways. thats the time that I enjoy the louvers and flames on my hoods E-mail when you're ready for that custom bronze glass
[ QUOTE ] What I wanna know is who is the third person in that photo? The one peeking out from behind the driver's door. Just who is that "mystery" person [/ QUOTE ] that'd be me tightening the bolts down on the hood hinges. that weird-ass car has two of the three bolts on each side going through the cowl sides, into the hinge from under the dash. i did'nt get to tighten the two (one per side) that thread into the cowl from the under hood side cause SOMEONE (we know not who) removed the hood release during the thrash so once we put the hood on and it latched it was there to stay. at least till someone jacks the car up and fishes around from underneath and manages to trip the latch. oh well, it obviously did'nt fly off on the trip home !!
Good looking work. Being a sheetmetal worker, I know how hard it is to keep the warpage out of something like that.
