heres the plan, sbc with a offy intake 3x2, the one with the 3 bolt base. i want to use the holley/ford 94's. i have come up with 3 of them and whadoya know everyone of them are different models.

anyone know which (17 different models they made, "i think")model would best suit me? i was thinking the 8ba. i have a really nice 91-99 but i'm not sure its the best choice due to not having the vent thing in the top.

the motor is just gonna be pretty much a stock 350, and i plan to run all three carbs straight(no progressive). somebody help steer me in the right direction on which model number to pursue. any leads on them would be aprreciated too.

I just sold one on E-bay. It had 3 94's on it. There are several others on e-bay now. I spent a great deal of time talking with Mr Stromberg about a 3 duece setup.
There is also a link on here about the Holley 94 carbs and the required things that need to be done to make them work correctly. Use the search function for that.
In my opinion, I would go with the stromberg 97's for ease of maintenance. I am sure there are a lot of people here that would disagree with that. The 94's can be had for a lot less money than the 97s.
You should also check the vendors that are HAMB approved ( and discounted). There is a lot of very cool stuff like you are talking about. If you have the cash, buy one of the complete units that is ready to install.
One last thing, there is a CFM calculator on the MR Stromberg site that is based around you altitude and style of driving. It is well worth the time and effort to see what you really NEED !
here is a pic of the one I just sold

ive got a tri-carb on a 350 running 3 94s - they are all 8ba carbs however i do run it on a progressive linkage. its been like this for 5/6 years now and ive never had any problems with it - also get pretty good mileage out of it, think im getting about 26 to the gallon - thats with a 2spd glide behind it.

i have done alot of reading and i know that i wanna use 94's over the 97 because of the cost of coarse. and i want to assemble my own set up because of the cost also, and because thats the way i would do it regardless of money. i guess i'll still stick to the 8ba's. i'll just have to wait for some good core to pop up, at a reasonable price. i have one 8ba but it looks like the top is warped pretty bad, i also have a 91-99, and one that is not marked.

I wasn't knocking the 94's. I have 2 on my car now. I tried to fix a piece of linkage on the accelrator pump and screwed up the linkage. I know that my 94's also had the power valves plugged. I have too much fuel pressure and the carbs weep because of that. Mine to seem to run very rich. you can smell it.

I decided to bite the bullet and buy good stuff that is backed up by the builder's guarantee.
Once my new stuff comes in, I will be putting my carbs and manifold adaptor ( 2 x 2 / 4 barrel) up for sale.

When I set this one up I went for the larger model for the center carb. If I remember right it had 1 1/16" butterflies. I used the smaller 15/16" 94s for the end secondary carbs. I believe it came on the Y block P/U.

I don't know part#s but I've seen them with 15/16", 1" and 1 1/16". It was stamped right on the back of the carb where the 94 is.
