looks like a good start. i had a 53 windsor with that engine, pull the head and oil pan and see what it looks like internally, parts are cheap and easy to get for these old birds as the engine was used for years in pickup and still in tow motors and industrial engines. as has been said they like to stick valves if they get hot after being parked for a long time.i would pay extra attention to the valve train. #1 cylinder is the one closest to the fire wall! there is a bolt you can remove ontop of the piston to help find t.d.c. that performance head is way cool. looks like a good start and a fairly complete car.fack the torino,if YOU did not like it and YOU like this more, thats all that matters. although it looks like you are starting to get a collection happening!lol.
So what's the story with the whimsical, converted bus? Interesting airport/runway there in Sitka. I'm a native Alaskan of Anchorage/Elmendorf extraction. Butch/56sedandelivery.
I lived in Sitka back in 2000 but now living up North outside of Fairbanks .We lived in the bus while we built our house. I drive that Scout in the winter time.Runs like a Champ!I already dropped what was left of the starter off at the Electric shop.I'm going to drain all the diesel out of motor in the morning. I pretty much just cleaned the dust and dirt out from inside got the hood back on and daydreamed a bit.. Thanks for the tips Vandenplas .I don't know to much about this yet.
