has anyone seen any good examples of, or built an alternative/different looking grill shell on a 27 t bucket. As i'd like to steer away from using a standard grill and go for something a little more quirkey. Will...
Look at some old tractor shells. I had an old Farmall that I was gonna use but Donzie needed it more than I did.
Whippet grille shells are a good look IMHO on T's. Nice and rounded. Tractor stuff is cool too. The upper portion of truck grilles from the 40's can be cut down for a track nose effect. Old wheelbarrow buckets punched full of louvers or cut out and filled with a metal screen of some kind may be a bit extreme but it'd keep 'em scratching their heads. The front of an old aluminum fishing boat would be unusual. The top portion of an old refigerator door, you get the idea. There's all sorts of cool and bizarre everyday items that could be modified to make a unusual and cheap (love that word) grille shell. Make a cardboard template of your radiator and the mounting points you have to work with. Keep it in your daily driver. If you run across something that might work you'll be able to tell right away if the radiator will fit easily. Just a thought. Sorry I don't have pics, just a vivid imagination. Good luck.
