Last October, The H-Bomb's and I were asked to use our cars in a photo shoot. We FINALLY got a few of the pics today. The pics look kinda "soft" edged, so I'm assuming that was an effect he added.. Anyway, here they are. A pretty girl can even make a T Bucket sweet. For some reason, the photographer added a sunset to this picture. And this car is actually blue. Artistic license I guess. He played with the lights here. All said and done, he took about 100 pictures. No reason why it's taking so long to get copies, but we were just props, so we were just glad to be invited. The Models name is Rachel Lynn Tate. Here's a link to her portfolio: http://racheltatemuse.weebly.com/
I was hoping he might have photo-shopped some old stills of Candy Barr in the pictures. Oh well, they still turned out pretty darn cool.
Fred looking past the pretty girl (not easy to do)the profile of your T has a nice look. Thinking you are paying attention to Chip's UGLY BUCKET thread. Or maybe you are just "getting it". If it means any thing I like it. Gary
Same profile it's had for about a couple years. Damn, that seems like a long time ago. Thanks. That means a lot coming from you, Rebel.
We didn't hire him, she did. Our cars were props. Actually, it may be her holding the pics up. She's a model, so out of 100 shots, she may have only thought 10 made her look good. I'm also assuming she had to pay him, so maybe she didn't pay for all the shots, only the ones she wanted to use. The business end of modeling is rocket science to us, so we were just glad to sit, watch and get what shots we can.
The truck wasn't hers. The truck had some minor dings in it, so a heel wouldn't have caused much of a stir. She asked permission, climbed on and off carefully and caused NO damage. We all kidded each other about not liking people climbing on our cars, yet didn't blink an eye, when she started in. But, she asked first.
I can't. I wanted a Marilyn Monroe, but she's soooo over done. Then a friend sent me the Candy Barr photo. I did some research and while she wasn't as famous as MM, her life mirrored MM's in many ways. All she ever wanted to do was dance and write poetry. Lack of formal schooling, no money and finally running with the wrong people, poisoned her life. Like MM, her life was injected with bull shitters, who never took the time to listen to and look at, the person inside. I appreciate and respect her struggle and power. Until the end, she made people jump through hoops and all she had to do was jiggle a little bit. She was a good Texas gal.
