A few pics from the Boston WOW show ..packed house Fri Nite & Today ..temps in the 70's ..No way for a Winter show .... Great seeing hiboyroadsterboy, chopshop & 56BuickWagon
I was going to go to this on Sunday if my buddy got free passes, but he didn't end up getting any. I've gone in the past and it was never worth the price of parking and admission. Not enough real hot rods. Too many jap cars and yuppie cars.
A couple to add to Al's shots. Well here's the noon HAMB Meet and Greet: The Mystery Truck getting HAMMERED: The OSHA SQUINT: Dennis
Great pics, thanks! One note,in the last pic (the squint)put on some f...ing safety glasses!!!!Don't teach your bad habits to others.Young impressional future rodders attend these shows.Set a better example than all those tv reality shows(except Jesse) that grind, weld etc.without proper safety equip. Also show promoters, have to buy insurance for these events,LACK of SAFETY scares away insurance companies, making shows impossible to insure!!!!
I still wish there were more hot rods and customs at the show, but I still had a great time. Great seein everyone. Here's a few more pics I'll add... Eddie Munster (Butch Patrick) lost his widows peak!
couple more of the mystery truck chop...the word got out that it was Chucks truck that was being chopped, cause some one let the cat out of the bag! Eli tweeking the cut Dave (Glassguy) and Chuck Vranas smiling now that Chuck can see where they're going with his chop.
Great pictures Al and Dennis I'll post some when I get some time this week,I took lots. And yes I like seeing pictures of my roadster.
I guess Chuck was telling the guys " I only want a 2 or 3 inch chop, deffinitely no more than that"...well it ended at 5-1/2 inches and the big smile you saw on Chucks face. But before the smile, his constant picture taking and non-stop gum flapping was driving everyone crazy, so this was the only way to get the chop job done. Dave put a grinder in Chucks hands and ducktape on his mouth. Problem solved!! LSM
Just so you know 29bowtie, I think Assguy was just excited and got carried away in the heat of the moment. We had an intervention last year and sent him to safety training classes and even bought him all of the required safety gear, I guess it's time for a refresher!
I originally owned the gold sedan at the top of the page back in the mid 90s and it was black suede. Drove it for years all over the United States. I sold it to a guy in Maryland who drove it a year, he then sold it to a HAMB member who's name is I think HotRodRoadster who made it look like it does today. Very COOL car
Thanks to Nitro, Leadsled and John w/the hiboy. His description of the show meant we went down on Sunday. Plenty of rods to see. Some over the top bling but still a worthwhile show. Looked around for Len of Chop Shop fame and did see the rat green baby hemi mad-max machine. Much appreciated guys, it was grand! P.S. The owner of the green 32 roadster in Nitro's 4th post does auto upholstry for a living. The work was top shelf AND he'd never heard of the HAMB! Told him to get on over here.
Have to get a big sharp chunk of metal dug out of an eye one time and you wont be so big on fuck off.
