All the pics from the moon show makes me want to go. I missed it earlier this year by 2 days. I was lucky enough to have Nori as my tour guide when I was in Tokyo last. I met some real cool people. I got to see a couple local shops, some in progress cars and even a 3wd body resting in the corner. Here are a few. Hopefully we can get back to Tokyo soon. It was too much fun.
On one hand it is sad to see American Iron overseas. But, on the other it is terrific to see these guys keeping the spirit of geniune hot rodding going so strong. Thanks for sharing pics
Minewithnoshine- I heard the truck is about road worthy. Just in time for the blizzard. Looks real good. (and Kinda familiar) Yea, Nori told me the sedan was recently purchased from the Chicago area, or maybe the 3 window was. It all has to come from somewhere over here! I cant get over the cost to do what they are doing. Ebay has pretty much been the answer for world hotrodders to get what they need. Ebay prices, coupled with shipping, and the yen to dollar exchange rate=VERY expensive hobby. They told me that it is nearly impossible to get them plated legally also. We have it easy with yards like those fields of tin in OK!! For anyone thinking of traveling to Japan, I highly recommend it. The people where very welcoming, and I got along OK with what little Japanese I speak. Luckily most know alot more english than I know Japanese.
i miss the hi-one that was a cool old 32 c-dan,still looks good.the third coast hot rods built the car.
