Thank you...Im glad you like it.. For your questions...
The grill shell is cut down 2 1/2 inches and dropped down another 2 1/2 for a total of 5. Im confused by weird cuts...where did you mean?

Great looking build. Have you found seats to use ?? If not , take a look at some Porsche 914 seats. They are glass under the upholstery and you can cut the headrest portion off to give them a lower profile.
The seat with the tilit brakcet and the sliders, both of which are seperate components, sit very low in the 914.
You may not wish to use a ferin' part in your car, but it is just a thought.

I was staring at my 32 shell one day, and it looked like if I did a straight down chop, just taking out what I needed then I was going to have to make a couple pie cuts or make a section cut so the top and bottom would line back up when welded back together.

Nope no fancy pie cuts...just some hammer welding and a thin coat of glaze coat. That cut is 2 1/2 inches. so after that I cant tell you. But it shuld be pretty close unless youre looking for 5 inches or something radical.

Gosh, I just read this whole thread. I don't think there's anything more I can say. You are really doing great work.

I can't wait to see this thing finished.

Well I'm with Bigcheese - I've just read all the way through, and that is just beautiful. An inspiration, and an example to just about everyone on here.

You making the seat out of wood or metal tubing?

I made my bench seat out of wood using my stock OG seat as a guide. Changed the dimensions and switched to webbing and foam for a better fit. Lemme know if you need some pics or something.

good work kid, you never compromise or settle, and its never "good enough" or "close enough" Thats the difference. You took the time you did it right and it pays for its self in reputation and trust. People see you through your work and you will be rewarded accordingly.

I stopped by Sloppydudes shop today to check out the progress. Man, this guy is detailed and organized. The interior is coming along and looks like it will be done soon. The pinstriping is perfection. This car is amazing.
It's debut at the GNRS in January should be real impressive. Few builders at any age can match the craftsmanship of this guy...

Interior should be done by the end of the week(except seat) Seat should be done in a few weeks...Ill post some pics as soon as its in. Taking chrome back and getting redone...then just clean clean clean and detail the hell out of it so the HAMB gets represented well at GNRS.
Went for another ride today...oil leak fixed! just need to get all that oil off the bottom of the car now!!!
