  2. I love watching you work with lead. It's cool as ****. That's what makes you stand out from the rest. I hope someday I can learn how to lead. I want to finish my shaved door handles and emblems in lead.

Downriver Legend Mr. Bill Hines !!!! a true living legend. Brad I understand you have had a **** storm rain down on you. Take some some comfort in the fact you have had a skilled p***ed on to you that nobody or nothing can take from you. I am sure Bill has also enjoyed "p***ing the torch" to you to carry on his legecy. Best of Luck to You. If Bill makes a Detroit Run soon you should come out and see the sights.

So tell us how you really feel...

Dude, your allright in my book. Alot of people don't realize that **** doesn't just happen overnight. Build one car, paint a made up shop logo on the door of an old truck and all of a sudden that makes them qualified to sell their work to others?

Keep up the good work. I hope things get better for ya...

More often than not, I end up doing just one job on someones car then they take it and do the rest themselves. I was told a long time ago not to do that, but i don't care. If a guy can only afford for you to cut and weld their top, then thats what ill do. This was Eddies ford. he owns his own place and just wanted his four door ford chopped. It was the first top I did here at the old shop. First chopped roof done here in just about 50 years. Took about five days and was a lot of fun, to make an otherwise ugly car look slick.

This Buick left here in primer to go back east to have other shops do the suspension and drivetrain ect. I have no idea what happened to it. It is owned by Alan Mayes. I always hated Buick rivs. but I became attached to this one. It was chopped with front and rear fenders extended. I extended the hood a ton. added a scoop to the 1/4s shaved all handles and emblems. I also added a molded side pipe that just slides out behind the front wheel well opening. The two first photos are where ever it was shipped to after it left here. the last photo is at my shop. I think Tim Sutton took it.

This 60 Olds was done for my close friend Bucky Crispin. He wanted something super simple and cool. He will admit he is not a car guy but wanted something cool to throw his surfboard in and go to the beach and still be able to cruz the streets. This was one of those cars that had a ton of rust repair needed, before any custom work. It is still a cool ride with out crazy 60's ******** paint. I painted and lettered his "new style" california plate to appear like a brand new 1963 license plate. Why do kitty cats prefer custom upholstery? He picked the colors and I like how it came out. He plans on driving it to the Sacto Autorama in feb. Here is the owner himself attending the recent "fire party".. what you can not see in this photo is bucky unconsciously using his new upholstery for an ashtray.

Heres few photos by Tim Sutton of Gary Willoughby's Ford. I filled the hood, frenched the headlights, molded a real rough merc grill souround, and decked his trunk. I also fit a 49 chev over rider onto the ford rear bumper. I got no photos after it left here, but I did see some one had installed some pontiac? tail lights that looked real good on the car.

i had bought a '49 Chevy from Brad back in 2003. He did the chop and all that good stuff. it was cool to find out later he worked with Barris and Hines.

here is how it looked when i got it.

If you knew the story of that car. And oh man... I remember the day we cut that one. And we looked at each other "like **** we just ****ed up"... something about cutting the roof across from pillar to pillar" lots of weed and estrus records compilations and then banging mark stams girlfriend while this idiot crashed a 100 thousand dollar rolls rocyce into the front of our shop because he forgot to put brake fluid in it after a brake job,... we use to ditch our beers out of the floor board holes in that car when the cops pulled us over... then we always made sure to let the cops leave first after they let us go..........

I think I almost bought that car in '03. Was it hanging around the body shop behind Barris' place on Riverside?

what's up Germ? yeah i know some stuff, you had made a thread looking for me back in the day. here's the link, http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=13747&highlight=133+guy. funny story about the VIN, back in 2005 i was hanging out with my club after Blessing Of The Cars and someone had told me to come out to the front of the house because the cops wanted to talk to me. They had asked me if i had switched the VIN on the car, i almost shat my pants but i told them no. after a couple of minutes they said they were messin' with me. i don't know how in the hell they would know to ask that unless someone was trying to punk me.

anyways, the chop didn't look bad at all but when i had went to get windows made, one side was off by 3/4", haha. couldn't really tell though, so you guys did something right.
