These are at my shop, well over 2 ft. Underneath it all is a 52 Desoto, 52 Chevy, and a 32 Chevy Panel.
Nice pictures! I have not been in snow like that since I left Minnesota, it brings back memories. Say, is that "yellow" one an old IH Scout? Hard to tell from what I can see of it.
I'm thinking it doesn't matter what kinda car-model gets snowed in, they all start looking like cartoon-cars with that much snow on them... Here's my '62 Chrysler NewYorker wagon covered in a thin layer of snow, years ago;
gahi, thems some purty pics, you guys are really gettin socked in. How long you think that snow will be around? BigBlockMopar, your wagon looks like a scale model in the snow. We are gettin rain here, will be a black Xmas and 36 degrees.
All this snow ranting kills me.............especially from the Colorado folks!?WTF? You live in the MOUNTAINS! Of course it going to snow! Maybe its true, there are no native Coloradoans...........just transplanted Californians? hehehehhe Really folks, its winter, you can safely say the northern 1/2 of the US will prob see some snow during the season............it should'n't be a surprise.
Yeah, Tman, I guess we know it's going to snow , but when you're attempting to grasp a wrench with unfeeling fingers and the metal freezes to your palms so can't even let go, and some cat from Arizona or California reminds you how nice it is in the sun and seventy degree weather ... well, it's easier to be envious and bitch than kick ourselves for living in cold spots.
Out playing last Christmas in Doris , my old '32 . We only get little snow over here , everything is so much bigger in the US ;-)
ratty....we`ll hopefully give the belair a run down to thetford next week.......and we can start your filming! Monkey
Gonna take the 55 out for a ride tomorrow(Sat) Forcast for our part of NY is mid to upper 40's and no snow in sight. Shit guys it's the 22nd of Dec. and we still have green grass and no white shit on the ground anywhere. It's hard to work on your car in the winter when you can still drive it. This just don't happen here!
Tman...you ever been to Denver...?? Then you know we don't live IN the mountains...we live just below them...and the eastern plains lies before us...most times Denver doesn't get 33-36" at one time...that's usually reserved for the "mountains"...normally we'll get 2-8 inches from a storm, in winter and yes, we expect that... And it's not RANTING...I don't recall one "I'm moving outta here" from any ColoRODo folks in any of those posts...guess it's more like "here's what's happening here." The big surprise is the depth, and how long it snows (about 40 hours straight without let up)...it piles up and simply paralyses a city...and I'd bet, it would in those cities in Dakota, if you guys ever get storm like this one... R-
Roger, we have the same climate as the Front Range..............and we dont bitch. 3 feet in May...sure...letr go Also, Eastern South Dakota was hit with ICE last winter 1" thick in hours. Folks were out of power for WEEKS, no shit.I never once saw folks DEMAND Govt intervention like KATRINA..........WE TAKE CARE OF SHIT OURSELVES. Like I said, maybe there are to many left coasters and SW folks populating Colorado now. I listen to KOA EVERY NIGHT AS HUMOR......... No where in the media did you hear about those poor Sodak folks................we take care of ourselves then go help Louisiana and Colorado and other States................ Besides Roger, it was humor....................with a grain of truth
Is South Dakota in the United States...??? T-...squeaky wheel gets the grease...and the Katrina folks KNEW they'd get cash from the government for yelling loudly enuff... Denver takes care of itself...and with cities in SODAK being so small in comparison to other major cities...it's no wonder you guys have to take care of shit all by yourself...bet no one knows you're there half the time... You may be right about all the left coasters being here...they have to move somewhere when the whole state burns up..... R-
I gotta ticket to ride again this year so let,s hope this fuggin fog finally lifts. Here,s a few more from last years Iceni Run.
