I hope someone makes it into a "circa 1964 Local Autorama type build". I can really see that rear sectioning looking real good on a build like that.

I just know that all the chrome suspension and tuck/roll would be very expensive.

Don't mean to get this too far off track but I've been toying with the idea of a small section on my '32 front half of a roadster that is going to be a modified, only reason I'm thinking that is the doors I have are cut off on the bottoms and the firewall I have coming is sectioned about 5" and I want to be able to see the frame reveal. Anyone have pics. of a sectioned roadster ?

Didn't Tom McMullen from one of those early hot rod magazines have one done, chopped, channeled, and sectioned but it was way to much and he never had it finish.

Does anybody here have the technology to access the pictures from the original post? I just see little x’s and would love to be able to see how the car looked at that time IMG_8129.png IMG_8129.png IMG_8129.png

    From @Olcars post:

    Hello,

Those red X over the little photo blanks are the result of the original person who posted them on the HAMB. If any person from back then in 2010 moved his/her stack of photos from one file to another and now have different labels for each one, then the original photos posted will have a red X on each post.

The same thing happens today. A person takes a photo or copies one from the internet. If the original person who took the photo changes the name of the original photo, now makes the red X come onto any place, he/she placed the first photo.

For example: a saved photo says "1950 custom Ford Sedan," Then the photo gets on the HAMB. But, if that person leaves the HAMB the photo are still around. Until he renames the photos. "50 ford sedan" for sake of fast typing and saving numerous photos. For me, anytime I draw a custom car or hot rod, I name it with the year: "46 ford sedan." No "1946" as it is faster to label all by year only without the 19.

But, if I did some modifications to the original art work and photo, plus I saved it as a "46 ford sedan custom," Now, it still gets saved, but goes to the end of the row of photos or art work in my own files.

There is one other reason. A few years ago, an internet photo storage company used to be free to store tons of photos. It got so large that the company was losing money and space. So, they started charging for each photo. Now, all photos were "locked" in the company files and unless one paid, the photos got the red X when trying to post them somewhere. The fiasco is well known and a lot of folks did not like to save their photos or copied from the internet photos on their own computers as they got filled up fast. so, as long as the service was free, many took them up on the free storage.

Now, the bad part: If one did not pay for the storage fees, the red X appeared on each stored photo. Whether it was on the HAMB or anywhere else, the red X stayed until a fee was paid to the company.

Some of us never used the company or similar storage places. External hard drives were about a normal hardbound book size in the early days, but stored tons of paperwork, journals and photographs/movies.

It is the same, today, but the external hard drives are now smaller in physical size and store a lot more than the larger early models. A good 5 TB external hard drive fits in my jacket pocket. It stores more than 100 of those old bulky, hard bound book size drives. That storage company has gone down in history as a big joke...

NO RED X is ever seen on the HAMB, unless one changes the name of the photo by a letter or whatever...YRMV

    Note:
You might want to contact Kustomrama.com and ask about the missing photos, too. Rikster was a name associated with that site photos.
