PAPASMURF is a complete pain in the ass, y'all are wasting your time showing him your handiwork. He doesn't have a clue, and is unlikely to build anything, ever! Mark my words. My 2 cents worth.
[ QUOTE ] it's not a cool hot rod but its a great driver Hell yes its for sale [/ QUOTE ] It is a cool hot rod! 1. Any Pontiac is a cool hot rod. 2. Any thing lowered with wide whites is a cool hot rod. 3. Any thing with those bitchin purple flames is SUPER COOL hot rod.
Why dont you fuck off. If you came here to bust my balls, go some where else. I was already initiated remember. If you come in here and make one stupid remark like that you obviously have nothing to teach me. Go hate on some one else. And I've built plenty of rides I'm sorry this is just going to be my first pre 60's rod...so bust my balls for being a newbie you gotta learn somehow. I'm willing to learn but at least I'm not Ignorant, trying to turn someone elses thread into a rant thread. You ben hangin round germ to long...
Hi Well you have alot of options. Only your imagination sets the limit. My baby was 1K first time out and 500 of them were the tires and painting the rims. now 8 years later she's around 3K........ So you can have alot of fun for little money... Klaus
bone stock good running 49 Dodge:$1,300 wheels and tires:$300 paint, sheet metal, bondo, and everything else it took to change a stock 4-door into a chopped convertible:$100 cut down windshield:$150 rear bag setup:$500 mexican blanket interior:$12.00 having more fun draggin around in a $2,500 car ,then all the goldchainers in their $10,000+ cars: priceless
Who gives a shit what He does with the info. this was a great post and we all enjoyed the pics and info. Keep the pics comming.--TV
[ QUOTE ] .....having more fun draggin around in a $2,500 car ,then all the goldchainers in their $10,000+ cars... [/ QUOTE ] Wow, I didn't realize 10K made me a goldchainer! It must be the finished interior, wipers and chrome bumpers. I hope I'm not exiled from the board!
Sorry Donzie I didn't mean to affend I was just meaning that you don't have to have all your bank account in your car for it to be just as cool and fun as some of the higher dollar cars
Heres my 29ehv8.I have bout $3400 USD into it...... Heres my lil Kornbindup shop truck Theo and I are puttin together. Were just about done now,I'll have updated pics soon.I have about $400 into it right now.....Shiny
Yeah PAPADOUCHE, me and germ are boyfriends, we love to lick each others balls, which is what you can do to mine. You're the fruitcake that started a post saying "Hey bunghole" what the fuck is that? You wanna know about buying bungs to split wishbones and that's how you ask? Anyone that gives a crap reads about this shit. Yeah the HAMB is an awesome place to get info in a second, but I'd have to say you're taking a long, deep soak in the Calgon Ignorant bath instead of soaking in HOT ROD knowledge. Just because these fine folks who bothered to respond to your request built a rod for X amount of dollars doesn't mean you can, and I'm willing to bet you won't be able to. Stick to Volkswagens jackass. I'm not having a good night and I'm outta beer so go fuck yourself.
[ QUOTE ] Stick to Volkswagens jackass. I'm not having a good night and I'm outta beer so go fuck yourself. [/ QUOTE ] HEY HEY HEY HEY!!!! ...careful what you say about the NaziWagens!
Somebody got their panties in a bunch or what? Even the "Great Ones" had to start somewhere... Chuck Fish
I have about $3500-$4000 in this I think i even paid too much for the car at $1250. I did get help with the paint job from a friend at $500 including materials. I gave it to him ready to paint and westsanded and buffed myself. Doing the interior yourself also will save$$$.
about $5500, including new wheels and Goodyear Eagle tires, power front disc brakes (new parts) paint and leather upholstery. sincewore out the tires and have Pep Boys "deluxe" $170 a set rubber on it.
kick ass rides guys.I now have hope to find something and put it together without having to rob a liquor store.
I'm a gold chainer?!!! Maybe a silver chainer, but I can't afford gold. Man I need to build a shelf for all my trophys now.........a very small shelf. I've got $12K in my ride and I did most of the work myself. Hell, the tires were $750! Most folks would think $12K is pretty low budget. I know guys that spent that on motors or paint. More power to the new class of hot rodders -- silver chainers. The under $10K guys can be german silver on a string rodders!
I'm on the same quest, I've scored a 22 dodge,36frontend and rods,'a' rear and front leaf,'a' rear cross member,53ftruck steering box,lsd disc brake diff and a265 hemi and i've spent $100 aus. It's well on it way
To think this had 5,800 just in parts.. no engine, trans, brakes, no rear.... = no fun sold it. got your money back.. Time to build something cheeper and quicker!!
[ QUOTE ] any info on how the windshield on Ryans car that Loudpedal posted was done? [/ QUOTE ] One of the club's grey-beards (sorry Henny, but you are a grey-beard ) fab-ed up the windshield from sheet aluminum and some windows we found at the local army surplus store. The guy at the place told us they were out of a fighter plane. He charged Ryan 20 bucks for the pair! LP
More power to the new class of hot rodders -- silver chainers Ha Ha I like that, but I, and maybe more than you think, are the Tijuana silver that rubs off and turns your skin green type of rodder... I'm not building a low buck rod for any reasons other than I dont have the money to add all the goodies on it, or build a more desireable model..
