I forget which issue, but the Rodder's Journal did a feature in two really nice Model A's with sixes. Looked killer! Might be worth checking out as well.

 

Yes, it wouldnt run with just three. The motor is 322 inch with a McGurk camshaft etc. I have taken them off right now ( for maintence ) and am running a 650 holey four. Runs better but not as cool. I will redo the carbs and reinstall before the hundret.r

yea man, check TRJ out, two real good articles on these rides, I am on your wavelength... This is how I will power my roadster, if/when I build it. Flatty's are cool, but I think they're kinda like vette's... everyone has one, so why put another on the road... haha... kidding, my buddy zach loves those old 8'ers... I just am more inclined to the unusual.... plus an un-muffled 235 sounds a hell of a lot better than a flattie.. IMHO...

BTW, I love the cream color of the motor in the truck... dead on!

 

Here are a couple more for ya. I have a 235 sitting in the corner of the garage waiting until I can build my roadster (few projects from now).
