I thought I'd post a few pics of my '32 roadster. It's been done for about 15 years. I freshened it up last summer and added a top.I also added the 16" bias ply tires and removed the fat 15" truck radial T/A's that I ran for a long time. It runs a 4" stroked '46 Merc motor, Fenton intake, heads and headers. I run 3:78 gears in my Halibrand rear end. I can run the car all day at 70 mph with the only concern being the rear axle whine, but it's music to me. I had Al Bergler add aluminum door, quarter and kick panels. I put ash trays in the Quarter trim to hold my registration and ins. papers...Mike
Mike I LOVE YOUR 32' ROADSTER, IT LOOKS LIKE A REALLY FUN CAR.. AND I DIG THE APPLE GREEN WHEELS. ASH
Thanks Ash.. It seems as though Bergler drives it as much as I do because I've been driving my '34 Vicky a lot...But that's what friends are for. There's a picture of your car on page 50 of the February 2006 issue of Street Rod builder that I got in the mail yesterday...Mike
4:50-4:75 X16 fronts...26.20" tall and 7:50 X16 rears...31.48" tall. Both Firestone deluxe champions. They are the tallest and shortest Firestones with the same tread pattern.
You should be justifiably proud of your car...very nicely done...I can't be your son either 'cause yer only 10 years older than me...
[Outstanding!! I love the black with the black grille and top. those models should all look like this. Green wheels are a good touch.
Thanks, I just changed the hood sides back to the original style 25 louvers and added the 6 louvers to the top to suit my style. My friend, Al Bergler, that made the interior aluminum panels, also does louvering. I don't run any carpeting, just a metal floor with the paint worn off and shiney. If I could easily remove the floor I would have had Bergler put some reversed louvers (facing downward) in front of the seat to drain water when I power spray the floor.
Thanks for the compliment on my roadster. Do you have any American 60's dragsters? Did you see my post with my buddie Al Bergler's dragster? I can e-mail photos to you if you'd like...Mike Farris..Troy,Michigan
not sure if you know this, but green is my favorite color. so, maybe you should consider donating the car to me.
Nice roadster!,,,i know the rims are 16" but what is the width?,,,are they the same front and rear? HRP
I was at Dan's last night and he was tellin' me about this car. He was right on the money. Sooper *****in'!
You're nine years older than my dad, maybe we can work something out. NICE car man, I do love it. Those green wheels are craaaaazzy! Awesome.
Looks GREAT! WOW, finished 15 years ago. How long have you had it total??? My '47 Olds is in his 15th (and last ) year of construction, although I've only been working on him for 4 years. I LOVE your new top too. Bop-top right?? More details please...is it an original steel body?? and a photo or two of the motor would be really cool. Can you tell I love roadsters?? See ya around town.
You're not rude at all. It's an early Wescott body. Everything else, including grille shell is real "Ford"....Mike
