Earlier tonight I posted pics of my '32 highboy roadster This is another one of my cars. I'm sure it's a little too street roddish for some of you but I drove this car to high school in 1962. It stayed in my family until 1995 when it was sold to one of my buddies. I was lucky enough to buy it back in March of 2005. It was a Detroit area show car in the late 50's and ran a "Turnpike Cruiser" motor. My dad put a 289 Mustang motor, trans and rear end in it out of a totalled 3000 mile car in 1965. The car is painted black Sikkens paint. When it was stripped for a re-paint there was No rust and No filler at all in the car..EVER...It runs all day and never runs above 190-195 degrees....Mike
Damn, you gotta a nice stash. I think that car fits this board perfectly. Both cars are amazing. Mootz
Obviously you've figured a way around the "flat black/red wheel" requirement here on the HAMB, but don't try it again. Frank
Ya, nice streetrod, bud. Don't worry, your car's styling fits right in with what the HAMB is all about. Damn, that's a nice machine.
This is one of the few truly traditional cars that we see here. It is traditional because it was there! It is not what someone thinks was there, it is an actual survivor of the period. To have your own high school car to drive and relive the good old days, you are truly blessed. More power to you and I will be glad to run it for you when I occasionally come to Detroit, just to keep the battery up.
That is fine. Please keep this at the top for an example of what's always a possible finish to any complete "barn find" instead of "First thing I'm going to do is wack the top..." I repeat, that is fine. (I thought "WOW" to begin with, but that's what everyone else said!) Did they come with the trunk or was that cut in?
Ford was on top of his game when with the vicky,,,you are to be commended for keeping the body looking the way it did when it left the factory,,,, HRP
well, maybe i was wrong, mike. you didn't get yelled at for having such a flawless looking car... tred.
Amazing. Very cool that it came back around to you also. I know I've had a few cars I wouldn't mind rebuying through the years.
