Yep, I'm now the owner of a front engine rail dragster. I don't know what kind of chassis it is, but it does look as if the main chassis is a "store-bought" piece...not something someone built in his backyard. If anyone could help identify it, I'd greatly appreciate it, but either way, I'm going to tear it apart and restore it. Probably gonna paint the chassis bright red, and the body silver. It needs a little bit of work here and there, but it's a pretty cool digger. Take a look!
That is going to be more fun than a human should be allowed to have! Looks like a nice score, man. Good luck with it.
Do you plan on running it or just static display? Reason I ask is it looks like getting it to pass tech "might" be a problem. Frank
hah, yeah i don't think it would pass tech anywhere, but I'm gonna restore it and try to make it look a little better. I'm not going to race it much...maybe make a pass or two in it at one of the local nostalgia drag meets.
Take your time and build a real skin for it. That and the safety issues would make this thing look kick ass. Good luck!!!
That is really cool! Just go friggin crazy with it, piecrust slicks, cool paint with old lettering, and your gonna need one of those crazy dragster oxygen masks just for kicks -Dean
