pics of my new/old project...a little progress

OK so I have been lazy since I posted pics of this truck a looong time ago...so now that summer is here again I have my kids helping me on getting this thing built. My older 2 stripped an F100 frame yesterday so we could use the 9 in. and front axle and driveline ...289,c4. I laid the posts back a few degrees and lowered the windshield towards the cowl to streamline it a little. gonna run 1/4 E's front and rear,16 in. steelies with blackwalls ...no not the ones in the pics...the rears are too short. Anyway...the toyota hemi is out since this is more of a real hotrod style....I think I will save the Toy for a glass big daddy Roth style rod ....in the future!

 

one more shot ...I still have to straighten out the hump in the frame too!

Yea...I've been lurking more and more...but it's gettin time to contribute again...maybe show some progress stuff...

 

howies was crambed with some really nice traditional cars tonight havent sen you since Paso good to see that thing is getting worked on

 

I was thinking about heading over there but I was on my way to Martinez....Steve Martinez had a pinstriping class at his shop. Today he has a custom painting seminar....this guy does some really awesome striping and painting...all HOK materials...which is cool because I've never used any.
I'll make Howies one of these days!

Another neat ride under const. All Ford too. The 'yota hemi in a 'Roth Ride' would make him proud.

 

Hey, Nice ride Brewsir. Keep plugging away. My 27 Tub is on its way down here from Washington today on the top of somebodies Suburban. Bet that looks great. I got a ? for ya. Where did ya get the Hemi and are there more I am interested? What's the Hp on those? Thanks

hey slazzen.. I just got home from the advanced paint seminar...all HOK stuff with one of the top painters in the Bay area....awesome stuff! They have an advanced striping class coming up in about 3 weeks...I can let you know (you have striped some haven't you???)

As for the Toyota hemi...its actually a 4 banger...1600 cc with dual webers and a little bit of racing stuff....about 150 HP. Gonna run the 5 sp. too!
