**pics of my new ride**

  1. I finally got some pics uploaded of my modified we built this summer, so I wanted to share with you all. I first need to give a HUGE thanks to my club mates for all the help, friendship, and inspiration they are truly a group of best friends I was fortunate enough to meet and become friends. (Sorry guys about new years it’s a long story I will explain later) But that’s not it I really need to thank the Deviator (hamb name) Dekon Bakker (owner of the RPU with rad in bed), without him this would not have happened so soon, or ever. I had been planning a build but knew I had to wait my turn in the shop, well Deek got a hair up his ass or was bored and wanted to start building this summer, so a month before Bonneville he calls me up and says lets build you car in my garage since the speed shop was full of other cars we were working on. Well who was I to argue with Deek, I had already sold my Galaxie and had the $$, so why not. It turned out to be an ass kicker, and I didn’t see my family for a month because I was working then heading str8 for the shop every night, but we did it built this thing in a month and pretty much had its maiden voyage to the salt flats. I was so happy words cannot explain the thrill of driving a hot rod with all your bros to the salt, none the less one you built yourself. I learned a ton from Deek, and the boys, as well as you guys on here. Thanks to all, I love you like a brother Deek.. Here are a few pics, I now have some hubcaps on it and scoops instead of stacks, and chrome will come later for the headers and waterlines. A little info as well - its what we believe to be a Dodge body around 25ish or so, we Know its a Budd body that’s for sure. The doors you will never believe they are from a '71 Chevy p/u hood that Deek made into doors. The rear quarters are Model T that Deek grafted on and massaged into place. The engine '41 flathead with a couple 94's on top. The windshield stanchions all hand made by Deek, as well as the gas tank pounded out of flat aluminum and the headers. The seats were made by fellow club mate Matt (wait till you see his sedan one day, the boy has mad skills)I still need to make the seat bottoms. The chassis is '41 ford on top of model A rails. I am happy with it, and that what matters. -

here is a link to my photos hope this works never really done this before -

    Neat car!

The car doesn't scream "look at me" with gimmick's...it's in the details. I like the proportions and the all black look.

    Good job.

Very Cool! I especially like the linkage for the carbs.

  9. yeah, thats has to be one of my favorite details about the car. When Deek 1st said we should do that I was unsure, but now it is all so clear it was meant to be part of the masterplan.

Damn. That's one of the coolest buckets I've ever seen. Details details details everywhere, but no dumbass gawdy. Sweet. Just so I don't sound like a suckup... Paint them damn wheel weights. Hahahaha  Seriously the one wheel with all the weights on it is the only thing that jumped out at me as out of place. Fuckin' sweet ride.

Really cool. I've saved the link to your pics to use for ideas. I've got a 28 chevy cowl and would like to follow a similar path. About how many gal does that tank hold and ya got any more pics ot that?

Very nice. Kind of reminds me of my own car. I'm jealous. You spent a lot of time doing things I would have liked to before putting my own car on the road. Are you using a crank mounted fan?

  28. Yeah, I would say there are similarities to your car Grim, I love your hot rod and was taking notes. And the answer is yes, it was a perfect match with where the radiator sits so it cools plenty. Well we will see when I drive it out to Paso this year.

    thanks for the compliments guys.

  29. Happy New Year Woody. Are you at the new place yet?? thanks, there is no place I would rather be than with you guys. You'll never know how much the club means to me, truely there are no better people than you all.

  30. I'll be stealing the drilled gussets meeting at a point idea from the suicide spring mount, thanks!:D Looks like a mini 33-34 Ford grill.
