Looks good all togeather. You should have no problem makin that to the Hunnert this year.

  4. I am holding off making the tunnel until the driveshaft is installed. It will only come up around 4 inches above stock under the back seat and maybe 2 inches up towards the trans.

  6. Some guys party on friday night, I rivet. I cut some hat channels i made up for floor braces and went with traditional syle rivets versus corny *** pop rivets. I am pleased with the results. Stiffened up the floors considerably.

    Hey, Matt

It was sure nice meetin' you at the SW Chicago HAMB and Eggs last Saturday.

This is an impressive thread, you are a talented guy.

Looks like the HAMBreakfast crew needs to make a road trip to Waterman to check out your shop some day soon.

Lets start making plans for a road trip to Matt's place.Matt, the shoe box is really turning out nicely.

  9. well ive been in the shop and have been focusing on the p*** side of the car. My plan is to not stop until the whole p*** side is finished as far as metal work goes. I got my door corner rounded and installed my bearclaw latches. I had a good laugh at the autoloc install kit that came with it. I may have been looking at this wrong, but the piece of sheetmetal that they give u to install it is wrong. With the placement of the latch they had,it located the striker all the way on the inner edge of the b-pillar. SOOOOOOO i bent up a piece of 18 gauge in the break and drilled some mount holes for the latch. With my new piece i moved the latch to the center of the door where it belonged and it allowed me to mount my striker in the center of the b-pillar. The door closes with one finger now though and im happy with how this door has shaped up.I have some more welding and grinding to finish up on shaving the b-pillar indent for the old striker. This door fit like **** when i started,im so happy to have it near done,IT WAS HAUNTING ME. Got my column and wheel in the mail from LUNATIC this week, cant wait to get started on mounting it. Thats all for now!

  10. Looking good, sir. I am in the process of doing my floor pans in the rear of my 53 and I think you have helped me get over the block I was having. Thank you, and keep the updates coming.
