I went here yesterday to get rear gl*** for my truck cause my dad and i broke the old gl*** trying to put it in. Well we got that for 30 bucks plus the weather stripping. Also i brought a camera and took some pictures to share with you. The old stuff here doesnt get crushed because the owner knows that the old stuff isnt replaceable anymore.

you can always tell what the popular cars are to build by how picked over the cars are out here. This 50 merc was pretty much stripped, but still held a few parts yet, i was hoping it had the dash in it at least but that was gone too.

Many of the old ford trucks still had the flatheads. The f-1s suprizingly still had their shock mounts too...guess the hot rodders are snoozing.

This was a nash apparently. Ive never seen one of these in person. It was pretty complete less engine and wasnt damaged, and had minor rust. I think someone must have bought it and its just moved here waiting for them to come get it. Its somewhat ugly, but still cool, and would be neet if it was customized

check out the engine turned dash insert!

Ive been past this point on previous visits, but technically you arent supposed to be, and today there was peiople working there, thats why this picture is fuzzy cause i had to zoom. The old stuff here is apparently just being stored here so people wont pick it over, new stuff is crusher food.

Like a few vehicles here, this old suburban had been customized in the 70s
    [IMG]
check out the interior, in the 1/4 panels there was house insulation and wood paneling

old wrecking yards are the ****, checking out old steel not knowing whats in the next row, hoping to find that part your been looking for, and all happening in some little town hidden away in the middle of nowhere. Every trip to the US I find myself kicking dirt in some wrecking yard somewhere........ love those black and white pic's

I took pictures in a junk/salvage yard several years ago in LaGrange, Georgia. I posted the pictures on several pages of my website. I don't know what remains but he had a ****-load of cars and a mountain of motors the last time I was there. At one time there was a 1968 Shelby Mustang in there, ..it's looooong gone.

...anyway, the guys name is Mack Waugh and his phone number is on my website.

    ...happy hunting and good luck

I think those gals might have a hard time getting into a coupe or roadster.Walking thru a wrecking yard is like walking back thru time.

Wow I'D cross the border to get some of those parts.
They let you pull your own parts. If so I bet there alot of full pockets on way out.
