What wasnt on my initial post was the sentence ...32-34 Fords being the exception. That
sentence disappeared.I was out tin hunting with a buddy one day and we found a cowl...just the cowl and he was dancing around like he had just seen his first nekkid lady.I asked why all excited and he replied "I will build a car around this"

Heres 2 that I owned that were almost dead. The chopped primer body had no bottom and welded on rear fenders(arc welded). I paid $500 cash and a nodular 9 inch center. The yellow and black body was on a scout chassis when I bought it for $500. It had a good dash and 1 garnish. Both bodies had rough doors. Both bodies are no longer mine and are paint ready and setting under blankets in two hot rod buddies garages. sorry, no current pictures.

Don't ask why I was jumpin on my old buddy. Happy days back then. Steve

Threads like this showing what others have done give me inspiration to work on my 32 3w. I bought it back in the late 1970s as an old stock car body.

Someday I'll get to it... Thank God for Brookville! But have to save lots of pennies to buy the parts it needs!!

  19. Here's mine, I found it in 1974. Bought it for $800 bucks. fixed it up and drove it through High school. Eventually sold it for racecar parts in 1985 or so. I think I got about $3500. for it! I kick myself everyday I think about it! Oh well!

Here is an early mock up picture. I just realized that my pile of parts could end up making a pile of a coupe. There is two roundy- round cars there and one that was run over by heavy machinery in the building of this pile. Nosurf posted a good picture of how it looks now. The only thing that I use of repo steel is the wheel wells. I did also make my own sub rails and floor.
The frame is also two old roundy-round frames, even after I got it together, it is really rough!

I think it just depends on how bad do you want it???

You guys rock. thanks. maybe we can see some more.

  26. The body Bobby got was right near my place! I knew about it for years. I told the old guy I'd come and get it and thought nobody would ever find out about it. A guy I know tells the old guy, "eh I can put that on the internet for you" Next thing I know Bobby is calling me and wanting to go for a beer!:D
So lets see how its coming Bobby!
This goes to show you that the ones you think are always gonna be there just aren't!!! hehe

Damn straight! Better get them now, cause if you wait they will be sold and rebuilt by somebody else.

I have a ROUGH 5-window body that was a stock car racer (the Zip Gas Special). I've also collected two extra roofs, decklid parts, a pile of miscellaneous fordor doors, and got the rest of my life ahead of me. Someday.......

And if I ever get done with that one, my Dad has a few rough tudors he'll never get to.

This really is a great post. I have two 32 5 windows in similar condition to each other......both rough needing the whole bottom..
It's very inspiring to see what's been saved.
Thanks for posting your pics and story's!

  29. I just heard about an East Coast trailer with 32 body panels and goodies heading towards Bobby. I'm hoping the return trailer is bringing me and my buddies some West Coast stuff!

Lets see it Bobby! Piero, your across the street, what are you maniacs up too?

I just tried to start my 29...no deal. It is freezing here... NJ sucks!
