There were a couple of cars that raised my eyebrows a little, like why did the let the Avanti in?

The Bantam is from Texas and is a golf cart refugee. It has a briggs motor. The flatty is plastic. TP

Avanti? Hmm... weird. Like I've said before, every year a few cars slip in that shouldn't. Mistakes happen. I don't think the few booboos hurt the feel or look of the show. Overall, I think our criteria screeners did a fantastic job.

Yep, the Camaro ROuge played... their last show ever. They really tore it up. But the Stranger... holy crap do those guys put on a great show!

Ace Brown really did a great job and even helped us deal with some trouble at the hotel later. He's a hell of guy.

I was not drunk enough to see that w/o flinching. The years were NOT kind. ;)

Guess she likes being on a camera or two...

Cause it was a mild custom Stude Avanti '62? I parked that one and didn't think anything strange about it.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Studebaker_Avanti

It was the ONLY non-PU Stude there. Unless I missed one or two. :/

I saw photos of a new HA/GR in another thread. Who owns it?

Rand Man, I talked to the owner of the new HA/GR for quite awhile. I didn't get his name but he is super stoked about the car and the class. He said he has only ran it on the road in front of his house and it was a kick in the ass to drive. Said it just kept on pulling as long as he kept his foot in it. It's flathead powered, 4" Merc crank and a bunch of other goodies. He started it a couple of times and is it ever a sweet sounding little jewel. He built the engine and the car and it sounded as though he did it just about by himself. It's a REAL sanitary piece and worthy of a HAMB seal of approval.

it was another great show this year, despite the cold and the dust, and as a bonus, Ace Brown played at our hotel bar too...that was fun, PBR on special and good music...can't wait until next year...

  12. Oh believe me that wouldn't help much. After working out in the cold the three previous days I had enough. Must be turning into a pussy about the cold I guess:p . Bad ass show though...already looking forward to next year.

  14. Man am I glad I froze my nads of driving from Ann Arbor Mi area with no heat or side glass. Most everyone at work think I'm KRAZY, guess they just don't understand. Kick ass show, now hurry up 2007 I'm ready to go. Thanks for putting on a good show without all the bullshit of trying to scam votes from friends for dust collectors, er I mean trophies

I wanted to make the roadster show this year. Titus told me about it last year. I was really planning on it until a couple of days ago. It got cancelled for me when I decided to buy a 46 ford on sunday of the show. What did we all miss?

Man, that bites. We haven't been getting very many good acts here in champaign lately, that sounds like it would be a killer show.

The little Bantam has a fake V-8 60 in it, but runs a Kohler motor in the rear of the body. It is a cool car though................

Thanks for posting the great pics! I enjoyed the following you to Morris and back home. Though the top helped I think I may need to make some windows for the roadster.

Unfortunately, I think that last night was their last performance. It totally rocked, the sound came outside nicely. :)
