Great pics Ruttencutter & 38pickup! What a MONSTER show! I had a blast. The show was at least 3 & 1/2 times bigger and better than last year, and I thought last years was the best show I've ever been to. How the Chrome Czars & friends were able to keep the cool vibe going with the growth is beyond me, but they did it. I will say that this scene, movement, or whatever ya call it is no fluke or fad. It's here to stay. It is populated by alot of great people. I couldn't believe I didn't see every car and I tried. I spoke with alot of old guys I used to run with that were checking it out thru word of mouth. Some brought their cars some didn't. But, all had very positive things to say about the show and participants. They loved the younger guys and gals and the cars. They all remarked on how it reminded them of the fun they had in the late '50's early '60's at Chicago shows and racetracks. I was proud. I'm gonna go out on limb and say this years show will spawn many cars to be dusted off and new rides built. The word of mouth will be incredible. I'll be posting pics later in the week. Many thanks to Hellfish, Magnet and company. Congratulations! Joel
I just pulled in the driveway with my coupe, man am i tired, there was just so much to take in at the show it was cool, my 32 luckily had no trouble all the way there and back, and got an astonishing 18 mpg on the way home! I met a ton of great people and a bunch of new friends, ill be there next year for sure. ill try to get some pics i took on here. ***US
Thanks guys! I'm wiped out. We've been planning this for months and we worked our ****s off all weekend. I dont think any of us got to see any of the cars. I sure didn't! I think we were a little TOO successful I think we kept the same feel of the last too shows and all was good. There were some ***holes starting fights and messing with peoples cars at the bar and the hotels, but other than that no real problems. Oh yeah, and some ***hole stole the Blacktop Barons sign made from a 50s Corvette door... so if anyone sees it, let me know I'd like to thank all of you for coming out (from Canada to Texas and California to Georgia) and making the show HOP! It was great seeing hot rods cruise up and down Liberty street all night while bands like Bleed made a racket inside... all across the street from the cop shop! The Chrome Czars would like to extend a special thanks to the Blacktop Barons, Voodoo Kings, and all of our "independent" helpers... especially the lovely ladies. I also want to thank all the bands for really tearing up the place all weekend. Morris clearly hadn't seen the likes of us before!
Aw man I just got home. I am worn out,, but **** what a great show! Thanks as usual to the Chrome Czars. Thanks to everybody for buying my stuff. I had a great time and I look forward to next year with painful anticipation!! Thanks again Justin Slingsby
I'm home, I'm tired, I met some new people, saw some old friends. The show ****IN ROCKED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hmmm!!!! Where do you start It was a great weekend. It all started by getting drunk and meeting a bunch of great people after that we drank some more. I found out the true meaning of Plowboys name and it has nothing to do with farming. Seeing how my *** is sore I now know what PLOW Boy means. Sat I got liqured up a slight bit Watched Bob Bleeds band that kickes *** went back to the comfort inn and drank some more. Sun morning tore my car up doing burn outs What better way could you end a perfect weekend.
had a GREEEEEAT time. thanks to all you homos who put on the show . Joe, Thom, Chad, nothin but love!! Levis Cl***ic, ****o and I all rode down in the Levis hauler with the tudor in tow. ****o had ****** issues that kept the Olds at home and i can't seem to work on less than 4 projects at a time so i did'nt have anything done enough to bring ... anyway. had a ****in KICK*** time at the Fools bar Friday night. Hellfish, Django and the boys ripped it up. that Django can play guitat like a mutha ****in RIOT!! and Hellfish slaps a mean b***. Larry Grobe and the boys (Adam and Tim) from Coffin Dragger RULED the joint, as they always do. i had ALOT of beers and woke up early saturday feeling GREAT!! unbelievable. saw alot of friends and made a couple new ones. wish i'd had more time to spend with them all.
maybe i'll post another pic or two but then i gotta git to bed. gotta get back up in about 4 hours ...
you might remember Miss, Metal from her recent magazine article... very friendly young lady, and exceptionaly talented...
lets see what else we got.... how about Levis Cl***ic's tudor with the nearly completed ex-farm tractor grill...
Yeah, you ain't **** 'til you get a red sticker on your windshield! I got home last night, and if someone said we were doing it again, today, I'd be in my car and on my way back to Morris. What a show... Perfect to the letter. Weather? What weather? God, I tell ya, loves Hot Rods. The fall colors coming back through Northern Wisconsin... Oh Man! Oh, and since my camera sat next to my computer all weekend, I have no pix to share... Sure was too bad more HAMBers didn't make the meet and greet. Now that we all know the layout and ***uming the track will be big enough for next year, we can get a plan together. And to the STAFF... ****in' great job. ...but tell the guy sellin' the ribs to get some ****ing toothpicks. See ya'all next year. ...and HOTRODLADYCRUZR... your job, should you choose to accept it, is to find out who that girl is. JOE
