I am wanting to have someone lay down some stripes on the dash of my 55 Chevy. I know this is a pretty generic question, but what kind of $$ are we talking about?
Depends on how much striping. That's kinda like asking "How long does it take to get somewhere?" Without a sit down with the owner, it's really hard to judge. I usually charge around $40-$50 for some stripes, then add a bit if you want lettering, multiple colors, etc. A good striper is worth the money. I can get a 'steak' at Denny's, but if I want a good steak, it's worth a few extra bucks. Hope that helps
Just depends on how much you feel like sinking into it. $40 is pretty cheap. To me, it would depend on how much area you've got available to work on, and of course, how intricate, busy or colourful you'd like it to be. I figured $50 - $100 is a good ballpark. Dashes are a bitch to pinstripe. That damn hoopy thing keeps gettin in the way!! You get what you pay for!
The striping is free. The talent...rich. Okay, I would give you a deal, 50-75 bucks depending on my mood and how good you look. Striping might be cheeeper in Ks. If you are close to SW Missouri, my nephew is really good. And cheeeeep. 40$ a panel here. no matter how many line. If its one line down each side of the car then its $120 a side.
Thanks for the input. Now I have a gauge of what it will cost. I am meeting with the striper on Friday and wanted to know what to expect!
