If anyone knows, what can I expect to pay for some quality pinstriping work at upcoming carshows this summer? I've noticed that there is a difference between artist skill and style. Thanks.
Depending on what you want done on your car... I usually charge between $100-$250. I think thats average... The bigger the name of course, the more they might charge.
Hi, You could call Mike Schartel at (760)953-5307. He lives in Hesperia. He will come to you or do the work at his house. He is real good and very popular at shows he works. 41 Dave
pinstriping... a few samples (couldn't figure out the pictures in a PM) a few of these are dashes... one for a 61 Bel air the other for a 40 Hudson... the last is an old friend's 54 Bel air and the others are just misc items.
Striping prices are kinda regional , but at car shows here in the east or at major shows with big fees you will pay $100 for 1 stripe down both sides,$200 for 2 and so on. Price depends what kind and quality and quantity you want, but remember striping is the first thing you see when you look at a car, the artwork can make or break it. ask someone you respect to refer you to a striper that will give you the quality you want. There you have it..."The Man" just answered you! I agree 100% I would find a pinstriper who has been striping for at least 5 years...that will show you that they have been dedicated to the practice long enough to know what its about and hopefully have some skills. If you see a car at a show with striping you like ask who did it...and I'm sure you can price it while you're at it. I would expect to pay at least $100...it really depends on what you're looking for though. If you want to go crazy and do the whole car..i.e.-decklid, hood, headlight/tailight accents, dash, side stripes...I would expect to pay at least $300-500. Thats just me though. Another example of you get what you pay for, you're going to look at it every day, why not spend some coin on quality...
