Made it to the Pismo Car Show this weekend. Huge turnout as always. Mostly street rods and other non traditional stuff but I took the shots of the stuff I liked most. Here you guys go...
Damn I miss pismo! nice pics Thanks. If I was down there i hate to admit it but I prolly would have been in the dunes ridin the whole time. Except when I run to town to hit the splash cafe.
Crap! sorry for jumpin in so quick,Great pics again though looks like there was some really nice stuff there!
None of the interior on the limo but was a crazy cool car. It was hard enough to take em of the cars themselves. 50% People just don't care if you wanna get a shot.
cool pic's ,wild lookin' air bag set up on the 55 chevy truck, like that f-1 with the pie cut hood something out of the norm, the shots of pismo were cool ,my wife & twins drove a rental convertable from long beach to paso in '02 & that was the place i liked best, looked real layed back, some day we want to go back to the west coast this time in the hot rod !!!
We had dinner in Pismo Beach when we were there last month. Great place. I'd love to do a car show there. Thanks for taking and sharing your photos.
Thanx for a tour of Pismo, I love that area and attended that show a couple of years when I lived in Santa Barbara. It is one of the hippest areas on the central coast. Some real interesting iron this year, I am in love with that black 38 Chevy coupe with the red wheels, but I enjoyed everything you served up. Thanx for a great memory lane trip to Pismo Beach. ~Sololobo~
The crew and I stopped to feed the birds there once. I didn't know they had a show. Thanks for sharing.
I was caught in the middle on this one too. I appreciate all the work that went into it. I think a different paint job maybe more than one color on it would really bring it out. It looked too "shaved" just sitting like that but was super clean. I go to this show every year, because I was born and raised in Santa Maria. Kind of like going home for a weekend.
Went early and left early before crowds got out of hand. That Orange 46 Chevy truck belongs to my cousin out of Bakersfield. It's a barn/field find that took him a few years to complete.Show is too high dollar for my tastes but still some nice cars there. Sorry I didn't see your other post about who was going to show. Let me know next time your in area, I live right up the road From Pismo
I took a break from LARS for the first time in 16 years, grabbed my lady, and headed for Pismo. I agree a little too street roddish but we had a blast. 800+ cars and something for most of us to like. We will be back next year. We met Ruben and his wife in the black cherry '51 Chevy 'vert as we both stopped at the same gas station in Santa Barbara on the way up - the car is stock and my gal fell in love with the '49 Plymouth convertible, hinting that it's her birthday this weekend - yeah right, dream on baby..... Here are a few we liked:
Damn, i had to get there at 6 am to get this spot out front, but better then the 120 dollar entry fee, damn...
