Hastings moly rings are about $75, or less for the set.

Hastings Premium Ductile Ring Sets 2M660020.

It's been a long, long time ago but I built a .060" over 230 Chevy 6 cylinder with Jahns pistons. Stock bore of the 230 is the same as a 283. The Perfect Circle rings I bought from the local parts store wouldn't go into the grooves deep enough for the rings to be compressed to get into the cylinder. Basically, the width of the ring, not the vertical thickness was too big. Jahns gave a ring recommendation that would work and I ordered them directly from Jahns. If my old man memory serves correctly it was a ring for a Pontiac V-8 of some long-forgotten displacement.

I thought I was pretty cool as a small town high school senior back in 1969 that I had an engine with forged 11.5 Jahns pistons and a Kay Sissell cam in it!
