There are plenty of Model A pitman arms out there you can make one up from. They are forged steel like pitman arms on all other cars too. Easily cut, heated, bent, and welded liek all Ford quality alloy forgings.

Yep, they make new stock and short ones to speed up the steering.

Make sure you get a forged one! :D

Wouldn't a shorter pitman arm slow down the steering?

a shorter arm (1 1/2") makes much easier to steer . im needing a longer bent arm . i used my stock arm to test it , but after modifing it is to short . it steers great but no turning radius . i need one longer made of flat steel so i can modify it to fit . lots of arms out there , but no square ends for the steering box . yes i have thought of the many aftermarket boxes , but $$$ are short for me ...... thanks .. steve

As said, you can just add some to it,or there is another way,by shorting the arm on spindel will give you more turn.
