1960-1972 S&S Parts Company Falls Church, Virginia Chuck Stolze's speed shop sponsored many racers over the years including K.S. Pittman, Gene Altizer, Fred Bear, Pork Zartman-Charlie Hill (Filthy Forty Willys), Dave Hales, Malcolm Durham, and Ed Cave to name a few. Also the sprint car shown.
...Uh... That was me in there sonny... That's on a NEED TO KNOW BASIS and you don't need to know... Young Scamp...
Boy, does this take me back. Don's was one of the cool places to hang and get parts. Use to be there and at Jon's place too. That was way back in the late 60's to mid 70's though. Haven't been around there since 78, but I did chat with Phil at March Meet this year. Good old days are gone, but not forgotten.
My 48 Ford parked out front in 1954/55 at Babb's in Abilene, Texas. We were running them pretty low back then too !!!!
>>"^What year is that wagon above this post hauling that sprint car?^"<< In the S&S Parts Co pic, that's a '62 Pontiac Safari.
