Hi all!! I'm coming with 3 friends to Florence SC in sep. 21st. Any suggestions where to go and what to see in Carolinas or Georgia?
We are staying only 10 days so not too much time to use. Also cordinates to good junkyards and project car sellers is needed, some cars from 30-60s might be bought during this visit. All info is valuable!!

I would have to go to the Great Smokey Mountains ... If I were you. Cherokee NC to Gatlinburg TN ... :)

Charleston SC is also nice to visit ... lots of History and neat old houses and sights to see.

Myrtle Beach is close to Florence ... big beach area ... lots of golf, sand and seaford ...

Not much car wise ... the big swap meet in Charlotte was this weekend ... filled up the Lowes Motor Speedway ( a 1 and 1/2 mile track ).

Have you been here before? The reason I ask is because I've heard from more than one European that the expanse of our country left them totally unprepaired. Look at a map of the U.S., and get a ruler and see what the real distance is between the places you'd like to go.

Saturday, September 29th is the 4th Annual Blood, Sweat, and Gears car show, put on by The Vendettas car club. There is a pre-party at Slim's Downtown Distillery on Friday, September 28th. This is a traditional rod/kustom event with kick-*** cars, live music, and great people. The show is at Hideaway BBQ on Capital Blvd. in Raleigh, NC. If you need more details, just hit me up. My band, Killer Filler will be playing 60's-style surf, rock, and soul instrumentals in the parking lot all day. Aside from Heavy Rebel Weekender in Winston Salem, (4th of July weekend), this is THE trad rod and kustom show in NC. Actually, HRW is more of a rockabilly, punkrawk music and art festival that also happens to have a car show. The cars definitely come first at BS&G!

there is a yard south of Dillon headed toward Marion that has lots of tri 5s, Found several yards on 403 near Darlington around I20. There is an old man on a crossroad at 341 and porter road, between Kershaw and Bethune, has a yard full of good stuff, won't sell anything.
