There isn't much up here in North Dallas, a couple of owners, and some shows at Chucks in the summer. Just not much. People are pretty snobby up here, they drive up and down your alley to see how long you car has been sitting. If it's in the middle of a project, forget about it. The Goodguy, and Piston and Paint shows are the only we look forward to. My wife being a classic truck fan, it's going to be my first project, and I have a couple of candidates I'm looking at. I worked for Wilson's Auto Repair a year ago, he does mostly restorations, an asshole to work for, but he's still in buisness. I weld when I can until it get's too damn hot!
Welcome to the HAMB from South Texas. It isn't that bad up there, you have a good swap meet at Decatur and the Pate swap meet is very good too! Good Luck! Lucky667
Welcome from Sherman. There's quite a few shows up this way...you just gotta keep your eyes peeled to find them. There are a LOT of HAMB'ers in the DFW area and several of the local clubs have shows.
I had a great time in North Dallas, there is something to do every weekend, swap meets, car shows somewhere close every weekend. Get out of snobsville and go to the Anna Malt shop on any Sat night (5-8pm approx)and hook up with those guys. Good Luck! I am trying hard to get back to North Texas and do these things again! Welcome to the HAMB. I've only been up here a few months (from San Antonio) and love it. Lots of HAMBers up here. You should come out to the show on the first...
Welcome from Denton. I agree, you need to look around more, there is always something going on! I strongly recommend the LoneStar Roundup in Austin, in April. Best damn show around here period! Smokin28 already told about the show this week, I am trying to get steering fixed before so I can go.
