So I was going to put a late model Hemi into this 37 Ford coupe. Just couldnt do it. So Here's the new plan. 37 ford coupe, triagulated four link rear end (94 mustang) 5 speed manual tranny (94 mustang) Mustang II front clip (cuz that's how it came to me so I'm leaving it alone) 195? 292 Y Block (50 bucks) Gonna punch it out to a 312 (minimum) and put F code heads and supercharger from '57 T bird on it (scored heads, S/C and stuff for 500.00). Gonna be full fendered, slammed low as I can with a comfortable ride. Gonna be BLACK with Steel wheels and W/W. Gangster taildragger style. Best part is, I only have 550.00 invested in this MofoFomoCo project!

Sounds great to me, but once you start that engine work you'll bust that $550 investment to pieces! Building Y blocks ain't cheap for sure!

It's your project but the Hemi fits easier than the Y block. It costs about the same to build either engine.

  5. Glad to hear another Y is coming! Don't let them scare you about the price, Ys aren't that expensive to build.
