  2. I saw some on a chopped Shoebox at a local car show a few weeks ago. The only reason I noticed it is because I was looking directly at it to see what they had done to get the window trim back on...lol

Walked by the car once and never had a clue. Let me see if I can find a pic....

  3. Crap, thought I had a close up of the trim. Here's the best one I got...

  4. This site has all different kinds of trim. I used the woodgrain style trim on my Grand Wagoneer. Here's the link: http://www.flexchrome.com/

I have seen it quite a bit. It looks okay from a distance, and not so bad upclose.
There is a nice 51 Merc on my website that was chopped/mudded by Dick Dean that has that trim. I always look at that sweet Merc ( you can also see pics of it on the Primer Nats site I think, it was on the cover of their website a couple years back) and all I can think is what a shame everytime I look at the car. Just drops the whole car/build a full level or so. And it is a bitch'n car we re did the airbags on etc etc Kind of a cop out. Hopefully we will make that trim for the customer one day...and take off the plastic.
That trim is actually so good, you can miss it easily, but once you catch it, all I see when I look at a car with it is a vision of Manny, Moe, and Jack.
I would run without trim before I put it on my car.
The only time I would use it is for movie car / picture car type of stuff where you are just putting together cheap and quick props.

BUT, it is your car, so do whatever make you happy. But you know if you are posting on here about it, you have a guilty mind and won't be happy with it everytime you look at the car.

    Have fun either way

p.s. I don't mean to harsh anyone's ride at all, it is your car. But it is plastic..

I am pretty happy with it on my merc until I get around to getting some metal on there. It has held up really well for me. I'd say go for it.
