I have wheels that are chipped up a little bit. They are plated and that's what has chipped. There are like coin size chips and I am going to restore them up to decent condition for selling. My question is this, I was thinking about using a dremel and just grinding down the edges of the chips. Then I'll just clear coat the wheel and buff and polish as necessary.

Anybody ever do this? Make sense?

    Thanks for the help

I think you will have a crappy outcome. Plated wheels that are chipping or peeling are basically junk. Just sell them and get it over with.
