History Plated Deuce shells

I bought a plated shell and insert at the LARS several years ago. Paid 700.00 at a time where most shells were going for the 1200/1500 price. It was really straight. Didn't have the heart to strip it so I gave it to a friend with a large deuce shell collection hanging on his garage wall. It completed the collection as he never had a deluxe model, just lots of standards!

 

i think if you put it on a model a it would look pretty trick
