I was at a flea market this weekend, and I ended up buying these beautiful turn signal/indicator lights.
They look almost like NOS old or are at least in a very good condition.
They are 14" long, no text on them anywhere apart from on the bracket that you mount in the car that says A (where you put your light bulb). The orange/amber gl*** says Hella.

I might have to buy the car that they sit on just to make use of them...

    Does anyone have a clue?

    Thanks guys.

Profile of the light is added.

Cab marker/running lights off of big/semi trucks. Go on the cab roof.

How sure are you of that?
They do curve some as if mounted on a fender.

Thanks for the link, but the lights I have are way to big for a VW. 14" (or 35cm) indicates a much bigger car than a VW. Nice try though.

Ever drive truck? Roofs are curved and these were also, to fit snugly. Note the amber colored lenses. Ever see a '40s car with amber turn signal lenses?
Truck forward-facing clearance lights were amber-lensed, side and rearward facing were red. Truck supply houses had these by Yankee, King Bee, Signal, Dietz, Hella, and many others. They were a popular retrofit with trucking companies as well as independents.

I´ve doubt that I´ve even seen many US rigs live. I live in Sweden and we almost exclusivly get Volvo, Scania and Merc trucks here. I´ve only been to NYC, WAS and CHI and spent very little time ogling over vintage clearance lights, but that might still be a good guess.
    Anyone else with a theory?

Well, no luck yet on google searching for these.
Any other ideas apart from truck marker lights?

......actually... :) there were aftermarket l-o-n-g front fender lights for early VW bugs. I never saw one in person, but did see a feature car in a VW mag that explained what they were and how rare they are. I think they were Hella.

I think the vw ones had a vw looking lens, not like the pic above. But I could be wrong.

    Well, mystery maybe solved.
It's from a late fifties Mercedes Benz, Ponton, probably the 220s or something as the indicated by this article I found not far from this forum...

Close, but still not quite there. Might be some other model than 220S I have.

Maybe you didn't have a black belt on the 220S models, just the 180´s or something?

The lights do look a bit different from those I have. I'm still not 100% sure yet, but I feel close.
