Hot Rods Please help me identify this tool.

    I found two of these tools in a junk box. I am not sure what it was
    Designed for. But it has a small battery terminal end attached. It looks too complex
    To be a battery removal tool. It also has a circular gripper inside the jaws of

    No idea but the battery terminal looking portion looks more like a mounting point for what ever this holding device is.

    Yup, Joe is correct. Fold the top down and cinch the lever and it stops the folded top from bouncing around.

    Would this be a part from the auto manufacturer or an aftermarket item?

    Think they're probably Bair...but maybe other manufacturers??
